Many amongst us are anime fans or considered as "Otakus". I can't really say that I'm an Otaku because I don't collect any merchandise or so, I just watch and learn. Even though you're an Otaku or not, that doesn't mean you don't have the right to judge an anime from your POV. you still have to because you're the viewer and the one who gives a certain anime its ratings.
Speaking of which, i'm here to judge the animes "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" and "K-On!" for not having season 3.

TBS Web Staffer for K-ON!: No Plans for 3rd Season
Oh you have gotta be kidding me!! You should have plans for the 3rd Season because fans, we, were dying for one!! Come on! Get a grip people from TBS!!
This one's based in Anime News Networks' Post:
"Blackmore," a staff member for the TBS broadcaster's official website and BBS on the K-ON! anime, wrote (Which is this: "ぼくはお金をためて買ったけいおんチケットだけど北海道旭川は上映しないと聞いて悲しいですなので旭川で今年中に上映してください") on Friday that there are no current plans for a third season of the anime. The staff member was responding to a BBS poster's question about a third season.
K-ON!! FOREVER!!! WE WANT SEASON 3!!!!

K-ON!'s first 12-episode television anime based on kakifly's original manga aired in Japan in 2009, and TBS broadcast the second 26-episode series last year. The K-ON! film, which opened in theaters across Japan on Saturday, depicts a story not told in either television series.
kakifly's original 4-panel comedy manga ended its first run in September 2010, but the author resumed the manga with Yui and the other characters in their college years in this year's May issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara magazine. The June issue ofHoubunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine also started a version of the K-ON!manga with Azusa, Ui, Jun, and the other characters still in high school.

K-On! Season 3...? Possible or Not...?
Hello minna-san! I just remembered about posting something about K-On! and here it is!
This is supposed to be a conclusion regarding my research if K-On! Season 3 will be possible or not.
Here's my conclusion:
According to many posts on forums regarding K-On! Season 3, they don't want K-On to end and wanted more. Some says that it is possible to have season 3 since there's already manga. So they are requesting for the creators of K-On! to release/create an anime for season 3. But then, some experts (Not so much... Anime reviewers) disagrees that K-On! will have season 3 because they said that only few animes have College in them and some of those were fail in emphasizing a good story.
Regardless of that, if there would be K-On! Season 3, most likely, it will cover up Azusa Nakano's High School Life, and presidency of the Light Music Club until she graduates together with Yui Hirasawa's little sister, Ui, and her best friend, Jun Suzuki. Then Azusa meets Sumire Saito, who appears to be stealing the tea cup set in the club room as ordered by Tsumugi, and Nao Okuda, she's not good with sports and intruments either. And so, they named their band "Wakaba Gaaruzu" meaning "Fresh Leaf Girls" with member positions said below:
Also, it will cover up Yui's College Life as she enters J. Women's University together with her band mates in her previous High School, Mio Akiyama (bass), Ritsu Tainaka (drums) and Tsumugi Kotobuki (keyboard). While enjoying their college life away from Ui (she's leaving in a dorm with Mio, Ritsu and Mugi) they meet new faces namely:

Azusa Nakano --- Guitar (President)
Ui Hirasawa --- Keyboards
Jun Suzuki --- Bass
Sumire Saito --- Drums
Nao Okuda --- Programmer (Most likely, "Music Producer")
Sawako Yamanaka --- Adviser
Also, it will cover up Yui's College Life as she enters J. Women's University together with her band mates in her previous High School, Mio Akiyama (bass), Ritsu Tainaka (drums) and Tsumugi Kotobuki (keyboard). While enjoying their college life away from Ui (she's leaving in a dorm with Mio, Ritsu and Mugi) they meet new faces namely:
Sachi Hayashi (Left), Akira Wada (Middle), and Ayame Yoshida (Right)
Soon they met Megumi Sokabe, the former president of the Mio Fan Club, who is in the same dorm as they are in.
Here are some Wikipedia short descriptions on the new characters:
Sakuragaoka High Freshmen
- Sumire Saitō (斉藤 菫 Saitō Sumire)
- Sumire is a shy blonde girl who meets Azusa, Ui and Jun after Yui and the others graduate. She is a freshmen, two years below the other light music club members. She is currently working in the Kotobuki household as a maid and originally came to the light music room to try and retrieve Tsumugi's teaset that was left behind after she graduated. After being scared off a few times by Sawako, she eventually agrees to join the light music club and eventually becomes its drummer. Similar to Tsumugi, she is quite talented at preparing tea, but feels inclined to keep her role as a maid a secret from the others due to the fear of being punished by Tsumugi.
- Nao Okuda (奥田 直 Okuda Nao)
- Another freshman in the same class as Sumire. Generally poor at physical activities, she goes through several trial runs through various clubs before deciding to join the light music club as she feels it is where she can try her best. Like the kanji in her name, she is overly honest about her shortcomings. After reading up on music theory, she ends up having an advanced knowledge of music but lacks the ability to physically play it. However when she is introduced to music creation software, she decides to become the band's producer. She is the oldest among the five siblings in her family.
J. Women's University
- Akira Wada (和田 晶 Wada Akira)
- A new character introduced in the restarted manga who is in a band called OnNaGumi (女組, "Gang of Girls") with her friends Ayame and Sachi. Akira joins the university's light music club alongside Yui and her friends. She has short black hair and often looks intimidating whenever her hair is messy. She studies in the Education department along with Yui. She is easily irritated to a degree but finds herself in a similar position to Azusa from high school as Yui seems to enjoy hugging her. She originally had longer hair in high school, but when a boy she admired accused her band of only being popular because of their cuteness, she decided to cut off her hair and vowed to become popular through talent. She plays a black Gibson Les Paul electric guitar which she nicknames "Rosalie".
- Sachi Hayashi (林 幸 Hayashi Sachi)
- One of Akira's friends, who has long hair. She is OnNaGumi's bassist and is in the same department as Mio. She is taller than Mio, and easily becomes embarrassed about her height if anyone mentions it.
- Ayame Yoshida (吉田 菖 Yoshida Ayame)
- Another one of Akira's friends, who has short blonde hair. She is OnNaGumi's drummer and is in the same department as Ritsu. Due to their similarities, Ayame and Ritsu become friends very quickly. Ayame tends to follow the latest fashion trends, and has done so since high school.
- And so, after discussing a few characters and a few events, include some insights from the fans, I therefore conclude that Season 3 is possible but the out come of the Anime would be unknown. If we refer to the current ratings of K-On! today, I could say that it would come out good but if we refer it to the opinions of experts, I don't know, it might not be good. That'll come at the near future! Soon!!
